Aymeric Laporte has confirmed that he is not in talks with Real Madrid, as reported throughout the summer.

Al-Nassr’s Spain international centre-back Aymeric Laporte has confirmed he has not spoken to Real Madrid despite being link with a move to the Bernabeu throughout the summer, Ufabet reported on Saturday.

Laporte’s joined Al-Nassr from Manchester City last summer and many believe the 30-year-old centre-back still has the quality to play at the highest level in Europe after playing a key role in Spain’s Euro 2024 triumph, while Real Madrid are reportedly keen on bringing in the former Athletic Bilbao man to bolster their defence.

However, Laporte, who is contract to Al-Nassr until 2026, insists Real Madrid have never made any formal contact with him or his club.

‘Real Madrid interest? Nothing, no discussions,’ Laporte told Ufabet.

“In Saudi Arabia I’m far from my normal surroundings and family. I could consider in future returning to Europe. If an offer comes in, it has to be look at”, he added.

Spain were held to a 0-0 draw in Serbia in their opening Nations League game as European champions, with Laporte completing 90 minutes for La Roja, and he is expect to keep his starting spot in Geneva.

It has been previously Promotion Ufabet report that Real Madrid are keen to sign Laporte, but that will only happen without a fee if the player terminates his contract with the club, with Al-Nassr only willing to let the 30-year-old centre-back leave if they receive the same €28m fee they paid City earlier this year.
